Carissa had to choose her favorite book character and dress up like her this past Wednesday. She loves Junie B Jones so we decided to see what we had in her closet to wear. We found the closest thing to overalls which was a overall dress, put a regular shirt under it and then put a big bow in her hair like Junie B Jones always wears. I even "messed" up her hair and sprayed it so it looked messy. She got a real kick out of that! We also found her black patent leather shoes and some socks that didn't match all that well. I even lucked out to find a mask online from the Junie B Jones website that she colored and I laminated. She wore that over her face for the parade. She had a fabulous day and even ran into her Kindergarten teacher that was ALSO dressed up like Junie B. She smiled all morning before school and even when she got home! What a success the Character Day was! Now, what's next?
